ABOUT DYLAN GOSSETT:
Dylan Gossett is a 25-year-old singer-songwriter from Austin, Texas. He started writing and recording music in his early teens using GarageBand on his mother’s computer. Throughout high school, his time at Texas A&M, and even a job at Formula 1 Racing, music remained his true passion. Inspired by a new wave of singer-songwriters emerging online, Gossett decided to share his own songs in April 2023—and the response was immediate.
In June 2023, Gossett released his debut single, To Be Free, a fully self-written, recorded, produced, and mixed track made entirely in his bedroom. Shortly after, he teased a snippet of what would become his breakout hit, Coal. The video exploded, racking up over a million views in its first week. Wasting no time, he returned to his bedroom studio, built the song from scratch, and released it in July 2023. Coal quickly took on a life of its own, amassing over 400 million global streams, earning Platinum certifications in the U.S., Australia, Canada, and Ireland, and debuting on the Billboard Hot 100 and the U.K.’s Official Singles Chart Top 100. The track also reached the Top Five on Australia’s Country Radio Chart and climbed the Spotify U.S. Top 200. The New York Times called Coal “one of the year’s best country songs,” while Billboard hailed it, alongside To Be Free, as proof that Gossett is “a formidable, heart-on-his-sleeve singer-songwriter with immense potential.”
In October 2023, Gossett released his highly anticipated debut EP, No Better Time, once again fully self-written, recorded, produced, and mixed in his bedroom—this time under Big Loud Texas / Mercury Records. The EP was met with widespread critical acclaim from The New York Times, Billboard, Grammy.com, Atwood Magazine, MusicRow, Holler, Country Central, and more. He followed up with his widely praised 2024 EP, Songs In The Gravel, which he also wrote and self-produced, while collaborating with notable producers Eddie Spear and Ian Fitchuk on select tracks.
On the touring front, Gossett has been making major moves. His fall 2023 Back 40 Tour saw him headlining across the country, following the immediate sellout of his first-ever headline (and international) tour, No Better Time Tour, earlier that year. He’s shared the stage with Noah Kahan in arenas across Australia, opened for Morgan Wallen at Houston’s Minute Maid Park, and joined Wyatt Flores and Brent Cobb on their fall 2023 tours. In 2024, he’s making his mark on the festival circuit with debut performances at SXSW, CMA Fest, Hangout Music Festival, Tortuga Music Festival, Two Step Inn Festival, and more.
