BEACHES IN ST PETE
The beaches in St Pete are ranked among the best beaches in Florida. Residents and visitors have access to some of the most beautiful beaches and waterfront recreation. EGMONT KEY
This state preserve, located on an island off St. Pete’s coast, and is one of the only beaches in St Pete can only be reached by boat. Egmont Key can be reached from nine public boat ramps in St. Pete. It features an 87-foot lighthouse and a wildlife refuge covering 440 acres. There are miles of quiet beaches and traces of Fort Dade.
This is one of the only beaches in St Pete known for its many activities and attractions such as swimming in the warm gulf waters, sunbathing on the pristine sands or exploring nature trails with a variety of wildlife species including dolphins, manatees and sea turtles. There are also plenty of restaurants located along Gulf Boulevard where you can enjoy fresh seafood dishes while taking in breathtaking views from your table overlooking the oceanfront view.
FORT DESOTO BEACH AND PARK
3500 Pinellas Bayway S. Tierra Verde Located at the southern tip of St. Pete, Ft. DeSoto Beach is one of the most famous beaches in the United States. This county park covers 900 acres and includes paved fitness trails and nature trails, canoe trails that run for 2.25 miles, a boat launch with floating docks, picnic pavilions with grills and concession stands, as well as a historic fort. The park’s five islands can be toured and visitors can enjoy a panoramic view of Tampa Bay from the island’s southern shores.

Maximo Beach is located in South St. Pete and offers visitors three boat ramps and a nature boardwalk. There are also two playgrounds along the beach, miles of nature trails and bike paths through 47 wooded acres. An 18-hole disc golf course and shade trees on a 70 acre archaeological site. The observation tower is 10 feet high and offers a stunning view of the Sunshine Skyway Bridge, Boca Ciega Bay, and Gulf of Mexico.

Spa Beach and North Shore Beach are located in downtown Tampa Bay. They offer sandy spots on Tampa Bay’s stunning waterfront. The famous St. Spa Beach is located at the base of the famous St. North Shore Beach is close by and has a playground and an Olympic-caliber swimming pool. Tennis courts are also nearby. There’s also a beautiful palm tree arboretum that can be used for afternoon strolls and beachside picnics.
ST. PETE MUNICIPAL BLEACH

St. Pete’s Municipal Beach is located on Treasure Island’s shores. It offers 500 feet of white sandy beach and recreation. There are full showers and changing rooms, snack bars, and wheelchair-accessible beach chairs.
